Here is an amazing Remington 37. This gun has A Womack 400 barrel, and custom laminated thumbhole stock. Womack was the premier gunsmith during this rifles heyday at Camp Perry in the 1950's. Walter Womack is known for his custom 22 Winchesters and Remington 37's. It is well known that he hand picked Douglas Premium barrels and used HIS button to ream the bore. He also fixed a percieved issue with the Remington 37 bolt by shortening the rear of the bolt and do some firing pin work. To have a rifle smithed by Womack was considered top of the line.
