Description:
This is an original French purchase WWI Long Remington-UMC M1914 Rolling Block No. 5 Bayonet and Scabbard in excellent condition. The 16" blade is in bright, excellent condition with unblemished edge and nice tip, stamped "REMINGTON ARMS-UNION METALLIC CTG. CO. REM. WORKS, ILION, N.Y. U.S.A." The guard and pommel are also in near excellent condition with light speckles on a bright surface. The wood handle is in very good condition with nice patina, no cracks or gouges and having the left scale, unit marked "2 298". The all metal scabbard is in good to very good condition with little of the finish with signs of use and no marking. The leather belt hanger remains in amazing condition with tight stitching and great finish. ;
