Description:
Serial #842, .32 S&W, 3 inch round ribbed barrel with a very fine bright bore with slight roughness inside the grooves. This is the A.J. Aubrey top break revolver manufactured by the Meriden Fire Arms Company circa 1906 which was owned by Sears, Roebuck and Co. who made guns from 1905 to 1918. This is a double action, top break revolver which features beautiful foliate scroll with line and Punch dot engraving covering much of the frame with highlights on the barrel. In excellent condition the metal surfaces retain 97-98% of the original bright nickel finish with some isolated spots of flaking showing very minimal use and handling marks. The trigger and hammer show muted case-colors with the trigger guard showing toning of the blue to brown. The checkered hard rubber grips with "MFC" logos remain in excellent condition. The barrel is marked "THE A.J. AUBREY / MERIDEN FIRE ARMS CO. MERIDEN C.T." with crisp detail. It retains its original front sight blade and appears to function well mechanically. An early example in very high condition of the beautifully done work produced by Meriden Fire Arms Company that would be hard to improve upon. FFL or C&R
