Description:
Serial 544181, .22 S,L,LR, 20 inch round barrel with an excellent bore. This is the Winchester Model 1906 Expert pump action rifle which features a pistol grips stock and specially shaped forearm and a nickel trimmed action built in 1919. The barrel has the "P" proof indicating it as a mail order. The barrel and magazine tube show trace amounts of original finish in protected areas with the balance turned gray-brown. The frame, trigger-guard and bolt retain about 75-80% of the original nickel finish that has worn to bare metal on the edges with areas of flaking. The gum wood stock and forearm are both smooth showing numerous old use marks and contusions with a heavily worn butt plate with the engraved screw heads. It is sighted with the correct No. 30A rear and No. 77C front sights. Mechanically it functions properly with tight lock up. A very good to near fine 1906 Expert that is desirable for the Winchester collector and would make a great shooting rifle. FFL or C&R
