Description:
Up for sale is a World War Two era M1 Garand with an original USGI stock. This rifle was built on one a newer production Springfield receiver for the maker who was CAI. There is a lot of info on the internet regarding this batch.
CAI is usually an importer of arms but apparently, they contracted Springfield to make receivers at one point and they built a batch of Garands themselves. As such, the markings are on the left front side of the receiver as shown in the photo's.
CMP Service Grades are Currently SOLD OUT so grab yourself a nice new years present and hit the range!
Bore is great, crown is excellet and a 30 cal bullet sits proudly at the muzzle. The barrel is marked "BSid 50" and appears to be a contract barrel made and dated in 1954. We had stopped shooting at foreigners by then so its like new! Bore is Bright and shiny with a Crisp crown..
Stock is an older USGI variant, possibly a lend lease due to the band of paint or tape that used to be there (residual markings only) that helped a Brit decide it was best not to stuff a 303 round into the rifle.
