The model 19 revolver began production in 1957 and from then till now there have been 9 variants from the 19-1 to 19-9, the 19-5 being introduced in 1982. This model has the original box, (minus the cleaning kit). Serial number places it in the early part of the 19-5, 1982 or 1983 most likely. .357 Magnum
