Offered her for sale is a scarce collectible vintage Remington Model 37 .22 Target rifle. Called the Rangemaster this specimen is in used but sound condition. It retains all of its blue on barrel and the stock is sound with only small use marks. Set up for sights. Pistol grip target stock.
The Remington Model 37, commonly called the “Rangemaster,” is a bolt-action target rifle designed for precision .22 Long Rifle competition. It was introduced in 1937 as Remington’s competitor to the Winchester Model 52. Production continued (with some WWII interruption) until approximately 1954–1955.
Total production was quite limited — roughly 12,000-plus rifles — making them quite collectible today. 28″ heavy target barrel, pistol-grip target stock, sights setup — fits exactly what this model was built for.
Based upon the entire block of serial numbers over its entire production run this rifle would appear to have ben made in the early 1940s. The Model 37 Rangemaster is relatively rare compared to its competitor, the Winchester Model 52. A specimensuch as this in used but sound condition with much original blue and a solid stock is very desirable among collectors and target shooters.
