The rifle is in excellent condition as seen in photos, action is butter smooth, bore retains strong rifling, bayonet and scabbard included!

Here is some background info on this amazing piece.
Berlin-Suhler Waffen- und Fahrzeugwerke (BSW) occupies a unique and highly prized position in the world of K98k collecting. These are the rarest primary production variants of the Karabiner 98k making up less than 1% of the total production.
BSW was a relatively small manufacturer compared to giants like Mauser (Oberndorf) or J.P. Sauer. They produced the K98k for a very short window—only from 1937 to 1939.
There is a significant historical footnote to BSW. The company was originally Simson & Co., a Jewish-owned firm that was the only company permitted to manufacture Lugers and machine guns for the German military under the restrictions of the Treaty of Versailles. When the Nazi party rose to power, they forcibly \"Aryanized\" the company, seizing it from the Simson family and renaming it Berlin-Suhler Waffen- und Fahrzeugwerke. This transition is why BSW eventually became Gustloff-Werke, which later utilized concentration camp labor (at Buchenwald) for parts production.
