Scarce and Desirable high polish Walther PPK military pistol, circa 1940, German Army WWII, early Eagle/359 Waffenamt with matching slide, mirror bore, and spare magazine, 274966K, FB01658

Description:

High polish Walther PPK Eagle/N pistol SN: 274966K, made 1940, Waffenamt marked as were most in the serial range 270100K-276349K, cal 7.65mm (.32 ACP), with fixed front and rear sights, loaded indicator, 60 degree safety. Two line Walther address on left side of slide that reflects the manufacturer, model and caliber. Eagle/N proofs on exposed barrel boss and right side of slide. Full serial number on the right side of the frame with last three digits hand-inscribed inside slide. Waffenamt marked with early Eagle/359 on left side of slide and frame, haloed, identical to the pictured example in Axis Pistols by Still, page 45; tabulated serial range, only 12 examples reported, on page 48. Single piece multicolor Walther banner grip. Two magazines: one high polish, the other matte, left side of each marked with the Walther banner.

Condition:

Bright 97% original blue with sharp edge/holster wear as photographed. Faded fire blue from safety lever. Comparable condition grips, the left side with a hairline crack near magazine release button. VG+ magazines. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A very scarce, all-original Walther PPK made in 1940 and issued/marked for the WWII German Army!!!
