VINTAGE EASTERN ARMS Co. TRADE BRAND 12 Gauge Single Shot Break Open Shotgun with 30 Inch Barrel with a clean, crisp bore. The barrel retains most of the original bluing and is stamped Eastern Arms Co. The wood is in pretty good condition, but has noticeable hairline cracks on either side of the grip, by the forend screw and butt plate. It is approximately 6 pounds in weight and is 45 inches overall length. The gun is functional, is in pretty good condition for a hundred plus years old piece,and has been used for 50 plus years by the previous owner to hunt game birds until recently.
EASTERN ARMS was a distributor for hardware stores, feed stores, etc. in the late 19 th and early 20 th Century who marketed firearms through local, small town stores, traveling salesmen, and mail order catalogs.
