Winchester Model 71 converted to 450 Alaskan by Paul Marquart, new cerakote metal finish, new Decelorator recoil pad, stock refinished with spar varnish, front sight correct height for 350-400 gr bullets. The model 71 is the most user friendly brush gun on the planet, all you need to do is bring it along, It already knows what to do, it's on auto pilot. I have hunted in the Oregon coastal jungles with one just like it for over 50 years, It will punch holes through elk and leave blood trails that Stevie Wonder can follow, and not ruin any meat in the process. On many panic situations I have just pointed the rifle like a BB gun, never seeing the sights and still conected. but shooting in Oregon's coastal brush is seldom over 50 yards and often closer to 50 feet. This would make a perfect wild pig gun, you could easily shoot through 3 pigs at a time with hard cast wide flat nose bullets. The bore is perfect, 20" bbl, 16" twist. Weights close to 7.5 lbs. This thing works like greasy glass, feeds perfectly. You never need to worry about short stroking a lever gun once you learn how to use it. It's always ready before you are. Comes with a set of dies and a box of formed brass ready to load and a box of loaded ammo to test out. I guess sending hand loads is a no no through the mail , so if I need to mail this I'll just include 50 more rds of fired formed brass ready to load. The rounds I have included are loaded a little light. You can easily get 2000 FPS with 400 gr bullets, but the same bullet going 1800 FPS is much easior on the recoil.
