Description:
Bicentennial (1976) 44 Carbine; all 44 Carbines made only 1961 to 1985 when sales of the very popular Remington semi-auto Model 742 at a lower price killed its sales, so it was discontinued. Highly sought after and especially scarce as a Bicentennial model. It has been used and there are some very MINOR marks that will show in the photos. The bore is near excellent as is its overall condition to include buttplate. The bright spot on the front of the loading gate corner is a reflection. It has the proper black anodized aluminum buttplate rather than the later black plastic (Celcon) buttplate. The top of the action has no witness marks from a prior scope base installation. The manual is dated "1/76". The box is NOT numbered to the gun, but the old number is almost impossible to see. There is a label at each end of the box; other end does not have any number nor does it have the black 'carbine' writing. It will be shipped by Gound Advantage for $50 with tracking and full value of insurance. It will be within another box. It will go to your designated FFL directly from me with a copy of my Maine Drivers' License enclosed. If your FFL will not accept from an individual, add $25 for FFL to FFL as that is whay my dealer charges for a transfer. There will be no sales tax as this is from an individual. Your total cost will be $1,700 if from me to your FFL.
