This rifle is in great condition overall. However it shows some very minor imperfections from storage and light handling.
The brass has some very light tarnish developing, which is common on these rifles. Brasso or a very mild brass polish will brighten up the receiver if desired. There are a couple of notable surface marks on the right side receiver in the brass. It is possible that these may be removed or possibly reduced with Brasso or comparable mild brass polish (no guarantees, just an educated estimate).
The bluing is in great condition, rated at 95%+. The walnut stocks have beautiful grain and color and are also around 95% condition. There are a few faint surface imperfections from handling/storage, but you have to look really close to find them.
Mechanically, the rifle is in excellent condition. It shows very little wear from use. In fact, the bore and rifling appear bright and shiny, with little evidence of copper or lead fouling. The rifle appears to be a \"safe queen\", although we cannot verify or confirm the actual usage.
If you‚re looking for a great lever action 45-70, without spending $1k+, look no further. This is a great rifle at a great price point. It won‚t last long at this price. It comes as pictured with the factory box and paperwork.
