This is an interesting WWI German Ersatz M1916-17 bayonet. This example has the model 1916 handle with mounting ears and the very distinctive model 1917 blade with no fuller. This example has an excellence, unsharpened 12 1/2" blade devoid of a makers mark. The one piece handle is painted as is the scabbard with a thick black paint. Over-all is very good condition.;
