Made in Japan Springfield 1863 rifle musket, made by Miroku/Dixie Gun Works, with correct leather sling. Very high quality workmanship. This is from my personal collection and was used largely for “show and tell” education. It is in excellent condition overall, not fired. The bore is bright and shiny, and the hammer nose is barely dented. There are some handling scuffs on the walnut stock, and some areas where light surface rust was cleaned off. It weighs just over 9 pounds and is closer to the weight and handling characteristics of original muskets than those made in Italy. $1,200, includes shipping & insurance.
