Fine+ Winchester model 1873 carbine, .44-40. Right side of buttstock with very well executed carved ranch symbol identification (see photo). Serial #470153B, 1894 manufacture. Bore is fine+, razor crisp rifling, near excellent bore. All markings are present and sharp. Top of barrel at breech stamped "44 W.C.F.", brass block stamped "44 CAL.". Metal edges are crisp, original blue in protected areas on both sides of the frame. Hammer still showing case color traces on both sides. The barrel overall is a pleasing an light age grey patina. Mechanics are excellent. Original sights. Wood is very good, excellent wood to metal fit, no chips or cracks. Correct style buttplate with compartment still retaining the cleaning rods, original dust cover and saddle ring. .100% correct and original '73 Winchester ranch carbine in desirable .44-40 with no issues, fine overall.
