Remington Model 710 – 30-06 – 22" Barrel – with Leupold Vari-X III Scope
Remington’s Model 10 bolt action rifle was designed to be the lower cost alternative to the Remington 700. In that regard, it was never intended to be a high end rifle but an affordable hunting rifle in popular calibers. Our model is serial number 71020631 and has a barrel date code of PV. This would put the manufacturing date in June, 2001.
The 710s featured a synthetic stock and ours is an attractive gray color. A solid recoil pad sits at the end of the stock.
The 22 inch ordnance grade steel barrel has a matte finish. The action of the bolt is smooth and the trigger has a nice, light trigger. The trigger is adjustable as well. The bolt locks in place with a 3 lug bolt system. A manual safety is located just behind the bolt handle. The four round magazine is detachable.
The bore on this rifle is clean and the barrel is bright. Rifling appears to be strong and crisp. The muzzle has no chips or defects. The stock is in Excellent condition and the metal is Very Good. Please review the photos carefully and we think that you’ll agree.
Most of these rifles shipped with a Bushnell 3-9x40 scope but the optic on this rifle has been significantly upgraded. Sitting on top of the receiver is a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x scope. The magnification dial works correctly. Glass and reticle are sharp and clear. The exterior of the scope is in Very Good condition also. Candidly, the value of the scope is probably equal to the value of the rifle only.
