This U.S. Springfield Model 1873 is a right-hand trapdoor single-shot rifle in .45-70 Gov't Cal. It has a 32.5-inch barrel with a blade front sight and an adjustable notch middle sight. The forearm is smooth walnut and the buttstock is a smooth grip walnut straight grip with a concave metal buttplate. Mfg: 1886. S/N 321464 .45-70 Government
