Description:
"Serial number 499. Made circa 1880s. 44-40 caliber with a 7.5" barrel. This is a scarce example as this still has approximately 20% of the original blue finish. Most of the 1875s were nickel plated. This is a nice sharp example. The grips are very good and are marked on the left hand side “44 W" for the 44 Winchester identifying it as a 44-40 caliber. The action works well and the bore has strong rifling with some pitting.
