"Serial number S8445. Made in 1899 with a 30-inch barrel that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. This numbers matching former Argentine military service rifle is chambered for the 7.65×53mm Belgian cartridge & it is a rarity among Model 1891 Argentine Mausers in so far as its national crest has not been ground. ""Shaking hands"" & Phrygian cap proof marks can be found on many of the rifle's components. The condition overall is good to very good with original factory finish across the metallic parts that has aged into a dull patina in some areas with spots of light frosting on the magazine, the rear sight assembly, the barrel & the bolt handle. Comes with a 28.5-inch cleaning rod & a USGI webbed sling.
