The American Arms P98 is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle. This model is based on the Erma Werke design that replicates the form and mechanical layout of the Walther P38, scaled for rimfire operation. It features a 4-inch barrel, black frame finish, and matching black grips. The pistol uses an 8-round magazine with an additional chambered round for a total capacity of 8+1.
Manufactured under the American Arms name, the P98 retains the distinctive slide and frame contours of its centerfire counterpart while employing a blowback action suited for economical .22 LR ammunition. The overall construction and finish reflect the compact adaptation of the P38 pattern, including the dual-lug slide and exposed barrel design.
