Splinter forend, straight grip, checkered butt, double trigger, automatic ejector, 20XXX serial number, vacant gold oval. 99% blue, wood finish, and checkering. James Purdey in gold on each lock plate. Very heavily chisel engraved gun with large ornamental scroll masks. Excellent screws, perfect and on face, perfect lettering. Highly figure Turkish walnut. Perfect wood with drop point s. This magnificent gun is chisel engraved to an extra finish level. Reproofed and 2 1/2” with a 740 bore diameter. This gun has been London style refinished to the highest degree. Very tight, perfect bores. Very ornate, gorgeous Purdey made at the height of production. Gun is tight and perfect with 100% case color and blue. Warrantied for life the original owner courtesy of Connecticut Shotgun.
