Collectors find this rifle very significant because it was manufactured Pre-Pearl Harbor (December 7th1941) marking a significant transitional period for Springfield. To state things contextually, of the millions of Springfield M1 Garands produced only 9999 can claim to be 4 digits! We were fortunate enough to land 2 of these 4 digit M1’s and are pricing them 4650.00 each. You may view the other listing under number 103431101. This is a solid investment quality piece that will assuredly go up in value. It would be virtually impossible to upgrade on either of these pieces.
