Description:
For your consideration, a custom 98 Mauser based rifle by J.P. Sauer & Sohn. Sighting consists of a bronze pip front and a Lyman peep rear with a matted solid rib in between. Serials on the bolt, bolt release, safety, and bolt shroud are all matching. The stock is appointed with a schnabel forend tip, beaded pancake cheekpiece, sling studs, a blank toeline escutcheon, steel grip cap, and a checkered, trapdoor buttplate. Additional features include a butt trap cleaning rod, lever release floorplate, and double triggers. This piece is of German manufacture and dates to 1911. .30-06 Springfield
