Description:
This is must have for the Colt Collector. Here is a chance to own a piece of history that I'm pretty sure is the only one of its kind out there. Colt Medium Frame Lightning Saddle Ring Carbine in 44-40. Comes with an Original Colt Factory Letter and silver plaque on the left side of buttstock that reads:

A. MANZANO B.
   C.y P.
AGOSTO 21 y 28 DEL 91.

Its my belief that this Colt SRC was delivered to Chile from Hartley and Graham out of NY in early 1891. I have attached three pictures explaining the history of the two battles.

CONDITION:

This is a very nice example showing the right amount condition for the use and history of this particular Colt SRC. 20" barrel and full magazine tube retain a nice gray / brown patina (from being in a scabbard in humid weather conditions) with some pleasant blue in protected areas. Good bore, I will rate it a 7 on a scale from 1 to 10. Action functions smoothly. Original dust cover still intact. Rear sight is the original and correct backwards carbine sight (missing its slide). All markings are nice and sharp. Receiver retains some really nice blue with a nice and visible Colt Pony on left side of receiver. Still case colors showing on hammer. Stocks are in nice condition, buttstock shows more handling marks from being attached to a sling clip. All in all a great historical Colt with some nice condition still remaining. Please email for more pictures. I do offer a layaway and will entertain trades. Please feel free to ask questions. Please visit my for other highly collectible firearms.
