Description:
This Springfield U.S. Model 1903 is a right-hand bolt-action U.S. Military rifle in .30-06 Springfield. Cal. It has a 24-inch barrel. A blade front sight and an adjustable ladder rear sight. Includes a "Hessian" sight shroud. The butt stock is a hardwood straight grip with a storage compartment. The forearm is a smooth grip, two-piece hardwood. This rifle has a Springfield barrel dated 1-30. The serial number is 1338517. The M1903 was first used in combat during the Philippine–American War and served through Vietnam War where it served as a sniper rifle. It remains popular as a civilian firearm, a competitive shooting rifle, and as a military drill rifle. The bore has a slight frost with strong rifling. No box. .30-06 Springfield
