A scarce “Hammond Bulldog” derringer pistol made by the Connecticut Arms & Mfg. Co. In 44. single shot rimfire. Octagonal barrel has any markings worn away, and can read some letters, with name and address Breech block swivels to the lefr side to allow loading . Plain walnut, worn grips grips. Body dings and scrapes and some patches of pits. and the action swings out by mocing the top mounted button.Bore has visible rifling with patches of surface corrosion. Sometimes the hammer doesnt stay caught so pushing the trigger forward gets the hammner to hold.A well worn Western collectible rarely seen these days.
Records show production was between 1866 and 1880 and that total production reached fewer than 8,000 units.
