Winchester Model 1873 Native used rifle, .38 cal, octagon barrel, serial #168707A, manufactured 1876. 24" barrel. Hide wrapping on stock. Carved U on forearm. Dome square shanked brass tack decoration. Rear site removed for saddle sheath. A Native and much used piece. Ex. N.W. Indian Cultural Center Museum, Spokane. Obtained when the museum closed in the 1980's. 43 1/2" overall.
