This Remington New Model Navy has the navy anchor on the top barrel flat. The pistol's serial number is 24356. This pistol has been converted to shoot the 38 long rim fire cartridge. This barrel has been professionally shortened to make it more appealing for carry and belt use. There is also period engraving on this Remington. The action works reasonably well for a well used pistol. The cylinders and bore is bright and clean with good lands. The bottom of the wood grips is believed to be stamped W.O. Codey. This is a honest frontier used Remington pistol with nice appeal!
