Description:
Black powder frame Colt features a very scarce 4-1/2 inch round barrel chambered in 45 LC caliber with a good shiny bore. The metal surfaces are mostly a mix of blued finish and smooth brown patina with some very light pitting. Hard rubber eagle grips are in good condition and fit well. Action functions properly. Serial number manufacture date of 1890. Comes with a factory letter stating the caliber and barrel length as well as the blued finish and shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett& Company, Chicago, Illinois on April 8, 1890 with four other guns in the shipment. The Sheriff's Model came without ejectors and ejector housings. Also comes with a tooled leather holster. A chance to add one of these hard to find Colts to your collection.
