Description:
SOLD   This Winchester was produced in 1891. The carbine's serial number is 406956. This carbine has the factory letter stating that this carbine was shipped on March 7th 1892. The undocumented owners letter gives a history of this carbine.  It has the standard 20 inch carbine barrel. the bore is in fair condition with some light pitting. This Winchester has a old refinish. The lettering is still sharp and easy to read. The corners are still good without being rounded off. The screws are not flattened. The action works just fine with no issues. The dust cover spring is weak so the dust cover slides around loosely. The carbine's finish is now brown patina. The sights are original to this gun. This carbine shows heavy use and wear. It will still shoot however. The stock and forend have no cracks. There is what looks like"0" lead buck shot in four places on the right side of the stock and forend! Three in the stock and one in the forend. This is a interesting old Winchester that has a story to tell!
