The Springfield Armory® 1911-A1Semi-Auto Pistol has a flat mainspring housing, grip safety and skeletonized hammer, though constructed of modern steel machined to CNC tolerances. A lowered ejection port aids in reliable functioning. The slide on the 1911-A1 polished flat surfaces, bead-blasted matte finish on the round edges, and tight serrations. Checkered grip panels have a nostalgic look and feel. True to the 1911-A1 design, this semi-auto pistol comes with a standard thumb safety on the left side for a right-handed shooter. .45 ACP
