Description:
Remington Model 12-B Gallery Special is a slide action rifle chambered in .22 Short with a 24" octagon barrel. The Model 12 (A, B, C, D, E, F) was designed by J. D. Pedersen in 1909 and produced through 1936. This gun is marked on the bottom of the frame with serial "RW35". The left side of frame is stamped "Gallery Special". Left side of barrel flat is stamped ".22 Short". The top of the barrel is marked "REMINGTON ARMS-UNION METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO-REMINGTON WORKS, ILION N.Y. U.S.A. / PEDERSEN'S PATENT JAN. 5, 1909, JAN. 5, 1909, OCT. 12, 1909, NOV. 21, 1911. APR. 16, 1912 / Remington / TRADE MARK". The front sight is a Lyman beaded blade dovetailed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a "U"-notch with an adjustment screw elevator that is screwed to the dovetail mount on the barrel. The stocks are two-piece walnut with a grooved slide handle, straight stock, straight comb, with a steel crescent buttplate. The butt plate is marked "REMINGTON / UMC" in circle and "TRADE MARK". .22 Short

Metal Condition: Good with various stages of finish wear with areas that appear to have been redone or touched up. The barrel shows no corrosion damage. The metal on the slide does show a few scattered light pits and maybe a few small one on the frame.
Wood Condition: Rates about 95% or better with a handful of minor compression marks.
Bore Condition: "This has a dark but shootable bore, its condition show pitting damage with worn but still visible rifling.
Barrels: 24" barrel.
Triggers: Single trigger.
Stock Dimensions:
LOP 13 1/8".
Fore End: Grooved.
Butt Pad: Metal.
