I'm selling my collection. An Antique Swiss Schmidt Rubin Model 1889 Manufactured by Eidgenössische of Bern. Antique pre-1899no FFL required. Serial numbers: "179199" all matching on the receiver, original factory blue finish rates 98%. 30.3/4" long barrel with a very good bore with sharp rifling. Excellent working condition, Museum quality. Historic Swiss straight pull Bolt Actiont significant for pioneering small bore smokeless ammunition great long distance ballistic GP90. The wood is very good looks like spent most of its time in the rack only the buttplate has little erosion. These 140 years old rifles were so well made, one of the first repeater (12 round box magazine) Military Swiss caliber 7.5x53.5mm (GP90) was known for its phenomenal long distance accuracy. The Swiss Army veterans organise regularly shooting contest with those old model, a shooting prize metal showed on one of the pictures with ammunitions are not for sale.. The little Switzerland Nation has always a policie to always rely on the supremacy & superiority of theirs weapons, survival instinct  to defend themself against its 3 big giants powerful  neighbors: France , Germany and Italy, as a dissuasive result those rifles never seen a war and were sold for peanuts in the US at the beginning of 20 century.... What is not mentioned in the description can be seen on the pictures. I haven't shot this one, the target showed on the pictures is from another similar M1889. I described it to the best of my knowledge. Please don't ask for extra pictures.
