Description:
Original DPMS Panther Arms Oracle I A-15 5.56×45 NATO 16" Rifle.
This is a PRE Palmetto State Armory buyout model the lower is marked Alabama.
The DPMS A-15 Oracle appears to be new old stock. We are selling it as used because we do not know its exact history but the rifle comes with one magazine and has no case deflector markings. The bolt face and barrel appear to be very clean along with the gas tube. It is in excellent condition and would be a great example of a mid 2010s production DPMS rifle. This rifle was made in the Freedom group factory in Alabama and would be sold and marketed from DPMS St. Cloud Minnesota location.

History
DPMS (Defense Procurement Manufacturing Services ) was founded in 1985, in Osseo Minnesota. DPMS started as a component manufacturer for M203, M14 and M16 U.S. contracts. In the 1990s they moved around Minnesota and sold Colt 1911 / AR15 accessories and then would create their own line of AR15 pattern rifles. They were one of the fastest growing companies in Minnesota in the early 2000’s.  DPMS was purchased by Freedom Group in 2007 just before the US Recession. Cerberus Capital Management would be in charge of the operations and merged DPMS with Bushmaster, Remington and Cobb. Freedom group had decided to sell some brands like DPMS in 2012 due to pressure. In 2020 JJE Holdings would purchase DPMS and other brands from Remington when Remington went bankrupt. The DPMS was always a budget friendly rifle. When Remington was in charge of DPMS they would use the Huntsville Alabama factory as opposed to the traditional Illion NY Factory as the Alabama factory was union free. Remington would use this factory to produce more budget friendly lines and also avoid NY’s strict gun laws.
