Description:
For sale is a extremely nice 12 guage Midland sidelock, 1930-1945. The Midland is in excellent condition. Bores are bright and shiny, furniture is in very good shape,Trigger pull is crisp, bores are mirror clean, all engraving in excellent and vibrant condition. Ejectors strong and throw hulls.
The engraving on the trigger guard and bottom plate of receiver are in extremely good condition as is the scroll engraving. The exterior of the barrels are shiny and excellent as well with interior bore walls bright and shiny. Bores have been sleeved at one time and are in excellent condition. A initial plate on the bottom of the stock has the initials DCY or YCD depending upon how you read it. Forearm is in very good shape with some scroll work and locks on tight. Trigger Pull is crisp. Safety functions as should. Top lever operates as should and ejectors throw shell hulls. The engraving on the sidelocks is very extensive as well as the breech release and lever as the photos show. I have personally fired this Midland at the time I received it and recently before listing. I only use low compression shells in all of my vintage doubles. I am in the process of selling the majority of my collection as I am at an age where I do not hunt or trap shoot anymore, and would like to pass along what I have collected over the years to others to enjoy and use. If you are a hunter or collector, do not pass up on this Midland. Gun has been very carefully cared for and show this in the condition.
