"Serial number 8079828. Made in 1963 at State Arsenal 296 in Jianshe (aka ""Triangle 26""), so this is NOT a commercial Chinese SKS - it is an original People's Liberation Army surplus Type 56 military carbine that was laundered through Norinco & imported into the USA as a commercial sporting rifle. The 20.5-inch thread-mounted long collar barrel has a bright chrome bore with strong visible rifling. Features an early production milled receiver, an early milled rear sight base, an early production 1-piece gas cylinder & a milled trigger group. The gun is numbers matching including the Catalpa wood stock but the metallic parts have been refinished. Interstate Arms import mark on the right side of the receiver. Comes with a 9-inch folding knife bayonet, rubber butt pad & a 17-inch cleaning rod.
