Carr) inspected revolver that has retained 95-90% of the original blue finish, with silvering and gray fading running back from the muzzle, and further silvering along the raised edges and projections. Areas of mild plum-brown freckling are present throughout, and much of the original bright nitre blue remains along the back of the hammer and sides of the trigger. There is a small area on the front of the trigger guard bow that exhibits a series of impact marks and finish loss. The smooth walnut grips have minor handling marks with moderate wear around the butt flare on both sides. The lock-up is still tight and the action functions flawlessly. This is a fine example of a desirable US Model 1901 Army revolver, and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R; Price: $1,695.00 Curio/Relic: Yes |
