The Mauser 71 chmabered in 6.5x53 Daudeteau is an excellent rifle with a strange past. Origionally a German made Model 1871 Mauser, this rifle was chambered in 11mm blackpowder. These rifles were eventually re-barrelled in France by St. Denis Arsenal around 1895. This rifles were repurposed into 6.5x53 Daudeteau for Uruguay, but were ultimetely unpopular and quickly replaced by newer rifles. This rifle is the perfect peice for collectors who like rifles with a rich history. Get it now before its gone!
