Rare French MAB PA-15 Target, 9mmP, M1. Manufacture d'armes de Bayonne (M.A.B.) c. 1960s as a lengthened target version of the standard PA-15, with the French Gendarmerie and Armée de l'Air (Army Air Force) reportedly having purchased limited quantities of the target variant with the designation of Pistolet Automatique de Précision (PAP) F1. Massive and impressive target pistol having an extended slide with refined target features. Slide fitted with drift adjustable front sight and fully adjustable "Micro" rear sight. Left side of slide with usual single line MAB address. Right side of slide marked “MODELE PA-15.” Exposed chamber of rotating six-inch stainless-steel barrel marked with "9M/M" and a Paris House "crown/shield" proof. Full serial number on the right of the frame, and a Paris House "crown/shield" proof on the right of the trigger guard. Matching "523" partial serial numbers marked on the barrel, recoil spring guide rod, slide catch, and ejector. Single action trigger fitted with adjustments for weight of pull and stop. Push button magazine release with concentric circles. Forward and rear grip strap serrations. Full fitting walnut checkered grips, bordered, each panel secured with three screws. Original fifteen shot magazine with aluminum follower and push button detachable base. Condition: Spectacular 99+% original salt blue. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. An extraordinary and incredibly rare target pistol seldom offered for sale.
