Most of the items in my listings have been with me for decades. None of these items were originally purchased to resell. The items I have kept, I kept because they have worked very well for me or have personal value. Description: Rifle is in excellent condition as is the original Weatherby Premier 3x9 scope. Two of my best friends are brothers and their dad owned a local gun shop and was the local Weatherby dealer. When he closed the shop he kept this rifle, a Mark V .300 Weatherby Mag and a Mark V .240 Weatherby Mag. He died several years ago and his sons got the .240 and the .300. I got the .270. I've known the rifle for over 40 years. I've had it probably 15. It hasn't been shot much and it is set up exactly as it was in the 70's. He added the wide trigger shoe and the Bianchi Cobra sling. I believe this one and the .300 went out west with him when the dealers could go on annual hunts with Roy Weatherby. One of the brothers has an old photo of their dad with Roy and one of the two rifles but none of us know which one it was. Date of manufacture is between 1972 and 74. A number of years ago my friend with the .300 and I got together and shot them both for old times sake and they both shot well but this rifle was extremely accurate. All I had for ammunition was the original Weatherby 100 grainers in the old Weatherby box with the tiger on it that I got from his dad and it surely liked them. The rifle will be shipped USPS Priority, signature required, in a new hard case and a cardboard sleave. Cost of that shipping ranges from 45.00 to 90.00 so I will meet in the middle and charge 65.00. I can only accept United States Postal Service money orders. Please send a copy of the recieving FFL along with payment.
