Description:
Offered here is a decent example of a Civil War SNY (State of New York) cartridge box with plate, soldiers belt with buckle, and small SNY belt plate (you choose 1). All items are original CW period. The bottom straps on the cartridge box are missing although the buckles are in the original tins. The inner flap is marked ‘R Dingee (sp), N. York’ however the closing strap is on the main flap is mostly missing. The belt and box plates show up in the reference books (American Military Belt Plates) and I have weighed the small buckles which fall in line with the reference books. Although not pristine, these are very nice historical collectables.
