General Specs: Winchester, 1907, .22 Short, 4lbs. 9oz. LOP 12 15/16"
Serial Number:  54154

Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer a lovely Winchester 1906. Production of this take down rifle began in 1906 and were initially built to utilize only the .22 Short cartridge, the mechanisms were changed near serial number 7000 to allow for the rifle to chamber the .22 short, long, or long rifle cartridges. This Winchester Model 1906, serial number 54154, however is chambered to fire only .22 short out of its 19 1/2” round barrel. As its serial number indicates it was produced in 1907, the second year of production. This example is an early “Standard Model 1906” and is fit with a straight grip stock and a smooth pump handle. This rifle has been professionally restored; great care has been taken with the edges and roll stramps still crisp and clear. Furthermore, the barrel has been sleeved, restoring the barrel to a stunning bore rating 10/10 and adding decades more shooting fun to this venerable pump. Externally the barrel shows 99% and the receiver and trigger guard displaying 98%. The rifle has its factory original furniture with some field and handling marks, its factory hard rubber buttplate is in excellent condition with no cracks, wood to metal fit is superb. This little rifle can be taken down for easy storage or travel, just throw it in your bag and head to the range! The trigger breaks at 3.7lbs and is perfect, no take up, no creep, just a crisp clean break! Over the years, the operation of this rifle has been worked to a slick action, the action is fast, smooth and short, and can be slam-fired for the ultimate fun! A fun, light weight and fast rifle, take it to the range for some old school Winchester fun. Thanks for looking.
