A nice unusual piece to add to a double action antique revolver collection.
Condition: 2 ½” octagon barrel. Bore has spot pitting from black powder use and evident rifling remaining. Metal finish retains most of the original nickel with some surface pitting , finish loss, scratches and wear marks. Finish loss mostly on the front of the receiver and cylinder. Please judge from the photos. Original black monogram checkered grips are in good condition for the revolvers age with a small repair done to the top left grip. Lettering is still crisp and legible. Mechanically works good in single action . Double action is very different . It needs a trigger pull which puts it in single action then another trigger pull releases the hammer. Almost like a 2 state trigger. Don’t know if that was the way it was designed ?? Some cylinder play at lock up. Single action spring is very tight and timing appears to be good. The hammer spur at some point broke off and cannot be fired unless the hammer is replaced. but this is a collectible not a shooter.
