All parts are original (Stock, Magazine, Sights, Oiler and Sling). Saginaw Gear Div. M1 Carbine was designed to be lightweight, compact, and suitable for medium-range engagements. This M1 was produced by General Motors at the Saginaw Gear Division in Grand Rapids, Michigan in the Irwin-Pedersen plant during WWII. Today the Saginaw M1 Carbine remains a highly prized item by collectors due to its historical significance and the quality of the firearm. This M1 is in very nice shape and would be a great addition to any collection. The production of the carbine by Saginaw more efficiently armed a large number of US soldiers during WWII.
