Description:
Serial #U9431, 7.65mm Argentine, 29'' barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a splendid looking, all matching rifle (including the cleaning rod) with "scrubbed" receiver crest, that retains 95-97% of the original blue finish on the metal, with some mild silvering at the muzzle, along the high and exposed edges, and only traces of freckling marring the original armory bright along the bolt body and handle. The bolt latch retains most of the original brilliant nitre blue as well. All of the remaining markings are crisp and clear. The stock rates fine, with some scattered handling marks and blemishes through the otherwise fine original finish, and the Argentine cartouches are crisp and clear. This is a fantastic example of a little-used Argentine rifle, cleaned of the national crest for use by Paraguay in the Chaco War with Uruguay, and rates fine-near excellent overall. FFL or C&R;
