Description:
Serial #H1962, 7mm Mauser, 29" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a pre-DWM rifle that was made in 1895 and retains 98-99% of the original blue finish, with some sparse traces of silvering on a few of the high edges and projections. All numbers match, including the bolt which has retained its armory bright finish save foe some slight browning on the handle. Bright niter bluing is still present on the rear sight slider, bolt latch, and magazine follower. The walnut handguard and matching numbered stock are in fine shape with only some minor handling marks and surface blemishes marring the otherwise excellent original military oil finish, mostly on the buttstock, which still has crisp and clear Chilean stamp on the left side.
