Description:
This is a full box, 20 original rounds, of .30 W.C.F. (.30-30 Win) with 170 grain metal patched soft point bullets manufactured by Winchester. The two piece box has call outs for the Winchester, Marlin and Savage rifles and is the Type 2, Variety 6 box as identified by Giles & Shuey in their excellent book One Hundred Years of Winchester Cartridge Boxes made circa 1911-1912. The box has excellent labels with crisp graphics missing only some small flakes of the top lid label with some mild age soiling. The cartridges are in near excellent condition with some lead oxidation on the tips. A hard to find box perfect to pair with your early lever gun.
