Description:
Serial #178516, .38 Special, 6 inch pinned barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Smith & Wesson M&P Model of 1905 3rd Change Hand Ejector revolver manufactured circa 1909-1915. In excellent condition the metal surfaces retain about 98% of the original blue showing light handling wear, minor silvering at the muzzle, thinning blue on the straps and a ling drag line on the cylinder. There is also a very small ding in the right side of the barrel. The hammer and trigger show very nice case-hardened colors. The unnumbered diamond checkered walnut grips rate near excellent, showing a bit of handling wear at the heels and light thinning on the medallions with excellent fit. The markings remain crisp. Mechanically it functions properly with correct timing and tight lock up. A beautiful Smith revolver that would be a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
