*** SOLD *** SOLD *** "Collector grade" is this 1938 Ithaca NID (New Ithaca Double) field grade SxS shotgun (serial # 465044) in the very rare and hard to find 28 gauge with a pistol grip stock, 26" barrels choked full and full, 2 7/8" chambers, double triggers, auto safety and extractors, remaining in excellent condition with shiny bores. The receiver has a lot of original case hardening, the squiggle line engraving remains sharp and clear, the action locks up tight and the top lever is to the right of center. The barrels, with beautiful bluing, do not have any dents, nicks or rust and all parts have matching serial numbers. The LOP is 14" to the front trigger from the original butt plate, 13" to the rear trigger and a DAH of 2 3/4", and it weighs in at 5 lb 12 oz on a postal scale. Only 295 field grade NID 28 gauge were ever built and this one remains in remarkable condition for being 88 years old. You would be hard pressed to find a better NID field grade 28 gauge. Don't let this very scarce little Ithaca double get away for you! Call or e-mail to make it yours. $80 S&H to most of the lower 48. Eight far west states at $90 S&H.
